On a journey together!

The consortium includes the most important Norwegian industrial clusters and business associations located along the coast of Norway from Agder in the south of Norway to Troms and Finnmark in the very north of the country. The hub covers all sectors of ocean industries, both existing and emerging. This includes ocean energies (oil & gas, offshore wind, floating solar, geothermal), new materials for ocean application and 3D printing, subsea mining, ocean infrastructure (bridges, underwater tunnels), food production, clean oceans, ocean data and tourism. Many of the partners have documented competence and experience from working with the industrial digital transformation.

The public partners have considerable potential to build new industries in coastal regions based on competence and technology developed over centuries and by transferring knowledge from the oceans to land based activities and back.

The public partners offer a large network of municipalities and regional governments, both within Norway and in the Nordic region.

The academic partners and networks assists in a sustainable uptake and competence building in areas like artificial intelligence, use and access to high performance computing and cybersecurity. They offer facilities (cloud-based and classroom) for building competence on key enabling digital technologies, 3D printing and advanced materials. By use of digital technologies they also assist in developing business/production processes, products and services.
